Rotary encourages conversations to foster understanding within and across cultures. We train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict and help refugees who have fled dangerous areas.
Rotary educates and equips communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. We supported International Rotary's goal of eradicating polio through a grant that enabled 500 children to be vaccinated.
Rotary supports local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We do not just build wells and walk away; we share our expertise with community leaders and educators to make sure our projects succeed in the long term.
Nearly six million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. We expand access to quality care, so mothers and their children can grow stronger.
Scarsdale High School student Archana Ram coordinated a book collection drive for the 162 orphan children who are in the care of New Seed International in Ho Ghana Africa. The Scarsdale Rotary club paid for the shipping costs to get the books to the children.
Rotary carries out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We also strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished communities.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
